A New Era of Economic Cooperation Begins
The International Association of Turkish Industrialists and Businesspeople (UTSİAD) has added a new milestone to its strategic outreach efforts in the Balkans. During an official meeting in Pristina, the UTSİAD delegation held important discussions with Kosovo’s Deputy Prime Minister, Ms. Emilija Redžepi, focusing on the future of Türkiye–Kosovo economic cooperation.
This significant engagement was coordinated under the leadership of Adil Koçalan, UTSİAD Vice President and Chairman of Istanbul Media Group. Known for his long-standing efforts to strengthen the presence of Turkish business actors in the Balkans, Koçalan emphasized the crucial value of the meeting both in terms of economic development and media diplomacy.

Key Topics Shaping the Future of Bilateral Economic Cooperation
The meeting addressed several priority areas, including:
• Strengthening the current economic relations between Türkiye and Kosovo,
• Establishing new joint platforms to increase bilateral trade volume,
• Developing investment-, production-, technology- and export-oriented project areas,
• Expanding and institutionalizing sustainable business bridges between the two nations.
Kosovo’s strong confidence in Turkish investors was underlined throughout the discussions, sending positive signals regarding the region’s economic outlook.
A New Chapter with the Kosovo Trade Organization
Deputy Prime Minister Redžepi arranged a special appointment for UTSİAD with the Kosovo Trade Organization for an upcoming official meeting.
Preparations have also begun for B2B sessions that will facilitate bilateral business negotiations between Turkish and Kosovar entrepreneurs.
Additionally, on the same day, the delegation held a comprehensive evaluation meeting with the Kosovo Trade Cooperation Chamber, where a roadmap for strengthening regional trade collaboration was outlined.
Media Diplomacy in the Balkans: A New Window of Influence
In support of UTSİAD’s Balkan expansion strategy, the establishment of the Balkans Media Companymarks a strategic initiative aimed at further reinforcing Türkiye’s communication network in the region.
This new structure—shaped by Adil Koçalan’s more than 30 years of media expertise—will amplify the voice of the Turkish business community in the Balkans while contributing to regional friendship and cooperation.
The project aims to increase visibility for Turkish entrepreneurs in the region and strengthen the media diplomacy dimension of Türkiye–Kosovo relations.
“A New Horizon of Cooperation in the Balkans”
Following the meetings, the UTSİAD delegation emphasized that the discussions took place in an exceptionally positive atmosphere.
UTSİAD reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the presence of Turkish businesspeople in the Balkans and announced that all regional cooperation initiatives will continue to grow under the coordination of the UTSİAD Balkan Commission.
