KKTC Istanbul Consul Ülkü Alemdar, together with Şakir Alemdar, former Director of Political Affairs at the Presidency of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), paid a visit to Adil Koçalan, Deputy Chairman of the Turkish Internet Media Union (TİMBİR) and Chairman of Istanbul Media Group, at his office.
During the visit, Şakir Alemdar was the guest of the program “Günay’la Vizyoner,” hosted by Günay Aliyevan, where he answered questions on current affairs and offered viewers a comprehensive perspective. Within the scope of both the visit and the program, Consul Ülkü Alemdar exchanged ideas with the parties on potential projects and collaborations, and a mutual understanding was reached to carry out joint initiatives in the future.
Throughout the meeting, Adil Koçalan shared information about the media and broadcasting activities carried out by TİMBİR and the Union News Agency (BHA). In his statement, Koçalan emphasized his strong bond with the TRNC, saying:
“Cyprus is our ‘yavru vatan’—our homeland. It has always been very important to us. We will do whatever we can and will always stand by its side.”
The parties held significant discussions on media projects and partnerships, expressing their determination to take joint steps toward the future. This meaningful visit conveyed a message of friendly and constructive cooperation in both TRNC–Türkiye relations and the media sector, while demonstrating that the strong sense of solidarity between the parties will continue.
