Mamer Fuaha, Chairman of the Board of Besatv Media Group—one of Kosovo’s most established broadcasting organizations with 25 years of history—paid a visit to Istanbul Media Group, where important discussions were held on the present and future of the media landscape with a focus on the Balkans and Turkey.
Hosted by Adil Koçalan, Chairman of Istanbul Media Group and Vice President of the Turkish Internet Media Association (TİMBİR), the meaningful meeting featured an in-depth exchange of views on media structures in the Balkans, the regional impact of digital broadcasting, the media power of the Turkish diaspora, and potential joint media projects that could be developed along the Turkey–Kosovo axis.
During the discussions, the historical, cultural, and strategic ties between the Balkan region and Turkey were strongly emphasized. It was mutually expressed that Turkey possesses a natural and powerful gateway to Europe through the Balkans. It was underlined that collaborations to be established at the intersection of media, technology, and economics are of great importance not only for the two countries but also for regional stability and shared development.
Adil Koçalan noted that cooperation in the media field goes beyond traditional broadcasting, highlighting that media serves as a strong bond that builds trust, friendship, and sustainable relations between countries. He also stated that efforts to ensure Turkish internet media becomes more visible, effective, and institutionalized in the Balkans will continue with determination.
The visit, held in a sincere and productive atmosphere, stood as a strong reflection of the shared vision and spirit of brotherhood for new media collaborations between Turkey and Kosovo. Istanbul Media Group expressed its gratitude to Mamer Fuaha for his kind visit and valuable contributions.
