Ordu Journalists Gathered in Istanbul

AK Party Istanbul Deputy Provincial Chairmen Abdullah Arıdoru and Çetin Akgül Hosted Fellow Journalists

Journalists from Ordu who are actively working in Istanbul came together at a breakfast program organized by AK Party Istanbul Deputy Provincial Chairman Abdullah Arıdoru and Media and Public Relations Coordinator Çetin Akgül. Held at Zeytinburnu Municipality Belgradkapı Social Facilities, the event drew attention with its warm atmosphere and strong messages of solidarity.

Hosting fellow journalists from Ordu, Abdullah Arıdoru and Çetin Akgül spent considerable time speaking with media representatives, exchanging views on the challenges facing the sector, the development of digital media, and the future of local journalism.

The breakfast program was attended by television broadcasters, online news platform owners, digital media representatives, journalists, and many communication professionals from Ordu working in the media industry. Discussions focused on the transformation of the media world, potential joint projects, and strengthening professional solidarity.

Adil Koçalan, who attended the program as an invited guest, emphasized the important role media organizations play in raising public awareness. In his speech, Koçalan stated:

> “Strong media means a strong society. It is of great importance for local and digital media to act in unity so that society can access accurate information. I would like to thank Mr. Abdullah Arıdoru and Mr. Çetin Akgül for bringing us together through this meaningful organization.”

Koçalan also highlighted the significance of BHA Union News Agency, operating under the Turkish Internet Media Association, stating that it represents a major force in the media sector. He added:

“We have BHA Union News Agency, which has infrastructure in all 81 provinces of Türkiye and in 25 countries. With this strong media network, it is possible for us to carry out joint projects and broadcasting collaborations.”

During the breakfast meeting, possible joint broadcasting initiatives and media projects were also discussed. It was learned that Abdullah Arıdoru and Adil Koçalan exchanged ideas regarding future media collaborations.

Participants expressed that such organizations strengthen both professional solidarity and hometown unity, while also voicing their hope for similar gatherings to continue in the future.

The program concluded with commemorative photographs and mutual good wishes. The display of unity and togetherness among Istanbul-based media representatives from Ordu received great appreciation.
